8:54 PM trivia for the day: why is it inauspicious for a groom to see his bride before the wedding?

tt's because in the olden days, most of the young men are shepherds. so being a shepherd, they will roam arnd until its time for them to settle down. and when its time, they will go to a near by village to ask for some random (i jus had to add in the word random. heh =p) farmer daughter's hand in marriage. note: the shepherd have not seen his bride-to-be yet. so they will be meeting for the first time during the wedding!! (its like the first and last blind date ur gonna get. gee) and so, if the shepherd happens to see the bride-to-be.. and DANG DANG DANG.. the bride aint pretty or wad he had in mind. the shepherd will zao lor with his meh mehs to look for greener pastures (and bride-to-be). so tadah!! take groom = shepherd and bride = bride to be. so tt's why its inauspicious for a groom to his bride before the wedding.

so. why am i even reading tt book??? coz i hear wedding bells!!! mine? NOOOOOOOOOOO. its my sis's wedding which wun be anytime soon but anywho will come sooner or later. and being the good sister that i am, i shall start preparing by........DIETING!!!! actually no is become fitter. heh. so..... who wanna go swimming with me?????? =p
